For Dave

Since he occasionally checks this out, two videos.

One via TexasBestGrok:

And one to restore one's cynicism, in case that last video was a bit much:

Life, Death, and Chocolate

Life: I'm mostly over the mono, I think. Except, I'm still sleeping more than usual, I'm still time shifted to the point that getting up before 11AM is unusual, and my desire to be around other people is drastically reduced. I've been out of the apartment 2-3 times in the last week, when before it was daily, at least.

Part of the problem was some food poisoning, brought on I think by using a pan that I hadn't cleaned for some meatballs [the pan still had a few onions and a little vegetable oil in it, I didn't think that would be a big deal]. 48 hours, roughly, of having a bowel movement every 30 minutes to an hour. Not fun, no sleep, it didn't respond to Imodium, and I wondered if I was going to get through it without needing IV hydration. That's about 90% back to normal.

Death: A guy died, who was a youth counselor for the youth program at my church, when I was in high school. His funeral is tomorrow, in Dallas. I think the only way to go, would be to pull an all-nighter, maybe trying to catch a cat-nap this afternoon, which never works for me.

Don't know his wife, or other relatives, at all, except for his son, who's a couple of years younger than me. I'd like to see various people from that era again, and this may be one of the few chances in my life [heck, it's been a couple of years at least since I've seen the Laniuses].

Better timing, and I'm sure I'd go. On the other hand, if I were working, I don't know that I would.

Dunno.

Chocolate: The exclusive for Valentine's Day, dark chocolate with raspberry Hershey's Kiss, sounded really good but wasn't that great. Just sayin.
