Movie Meme

Ok, I'm bored. So, it's time for a meme! H/T: LlamaButchers!

1. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times.

I've probably seen Star Wars Episode IV more than any other movie. Other qualifying ones would be The Princess Bride and Batman.

2. Name a movie that you’ve seen multiple times in the theater.

Beauty and the Beast.

3. Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a movie.

Vin Diesel.

4. Name an actor that would make you less likely to see a movie.

Hmm. Too many to count. Adam Sandler is pretty high up there, though.

5. Name a movie that you can and do quote from.

Monty Python's The Life of Brian.

6. Name a movie musical that you know all of the lyrics to all of the songs

Southpark: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.

7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with

Southpark, pretty much any Monty Python movie, and Oliver!

8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see.

The Princess Bride- a movie doesn't have to use foul language to be fun.

9. Name a movie that you own.

All 3 Lord of the Rings Special Extended version sets.

10. Name an actor that launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops.

Madonna wasn't as bad in Dick Tracy as I was expecting.

11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in? If so, what?

Nope.

12. Ever made out in a movie?

Nope.

13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven’t yet gotten around to it.

There are several gay themed movies I've read about, thought "that might be interesting," and haven't seen. By the way, "Gay themed" doesn't equal "Porn."

14. Ever walked out of a movie?

Nope.

15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theater.

Any Disney movie with a sappy enough ending will do it. I'm sure Beauty and the Beast did.

16. Popcorn?

By myself, usually not. Sometimes with a date.

17. How often do you go to the movies (as opposed to renting them or watching them at home)?

3-4 times a year.

18. What’s the last movie you saw in the theater?

Not 100% sure, but I think Serenity.

19. What’s your favorite/preferred genre of movie?

Sci/Fi

20. What’s the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?

Hmm. I remember Star Wars- it was the beginning of 5th grade, I was going to a new school, and went to a birthday party that had some old friends and some new ones. I'm sure I saw other movies in theatres before, but nothing comes to mind.

21. What movie do you wish you had never seen?

I can think of some that I wish hadn't been made, but I don't think there are any I wish I hadn't seen. The Dungeonmaster is the worst movie I ever saw in a theater.

22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed?

Brazil, maybe.

23. What is the scariest movie you’ve seen?

Not big into scary movies. Hellraiser?

24. What is the funniest movie you’ve seen?

Wallace and Gromit A Close Shave.

Kingdom of Loathing Radio

Kingdom of Loathing rocks. Kingdom of Loathing radio is, well, eclectic. And it rocks.

We just had Savage Garden's Affirmation:

I believe the sun should never set upon an argument
I believe we place our happiness in other people's hands
I believe that junk food tastes so good because it's bad for you
I believe your parents did the best job they knew how to do
I believe that beauty magazines promote low self esteem
I believe I'm loved when I'm completely by myself alone

I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love 'til you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye

I believe you can't control or choose your sexuality
I believe that trust is more important than monogamy
I believe your most attractive features are your heart and soul
I believe that family is worth more than money or gold
I believe the struggle for financial freedom is unfair
I believe the only ones who disagree are millionaires

And now we have the muppets singing "Coconut."

Ok. so it's not the most exciting news in the universe. But I liked the sound of "Affirmation," and it only emphasizes how useless FM radio is, and how pointless the possible merger in satellite radio would be.
