The classmate's book is Pulling Off Your Shorts, which is designed to show high school students how to make a short film. Which is interesting in terms of empowering people to do things which took vast resources in the recent past. Full disclosure: I was the lead actor in a short film in college, a friend directed, and I sincerely hope all copies have been destroyed by this point.
