The Wheel of Time
Ran across a
couple of
references to Robert Jordan's
The Wheel of Time series, so I thought I should throw my two cents in. I have read books 1,2,3,4, and 6. The problem is, I like the general theme [young people with unknown gifts must learn to use those gifts to defeat Ultimate Evil, which was previously responsible for bringing down a great civilization], but the books seem to get slower and slower. Maybe because he's following 5-6 story lines at a time, maybe not. Maybe because his characters constantly fight against being heros. Maybe because the various rulers seem just f'kn stupid.
