I know this is non-PC, but: this person has no business becoming a mother. If you can't do it without hiring several other helpers, why do it at all?

I would hate to have her as a mother.
I don't mind hiring helpers; there are still many men whose wives/mothers/sisters take over the parenting role and they come in and smile (though in this case it seems as if dad is the one who parents) but so many? And I wonder what she thinks will happen if nanny or nurse has a kid. Will there be a village for them as well?
I wish parents would relax and learn that what most kids need most is mom and dad.

Exactly. I have no problem with people hiring some help; heaven only knows how a single parent with no supportive friends or family can cope. But it seems like she is hiring people because she feels inadequate because she can't provide [or isn't providing] emotional closeness for her son, realizes she needs something else, and tries to go out and buy it.
