Quiche

Saw this recipe on the last carnival, decided to try it. I bought ingredients without making a list before; a deep dish shell would have worked better, but the regular pie shell did ok. Used pepperoni instead of bacon; bacon or ham [or even SPAM] probably would be better. Maybe a little salt and pepper too.

But it was easy, and fairly tasty.

Thanks for the quiche review. Yeh--some folks do better with salt and pepper on this puppy. With a cardio patient wife who's not as pepper-loving as I am, I've learned to add such after cooking.

And yes, bacon definitely beats peperoni :-)

Lotsa other additions are nice: frozen peas, mushrooms, even pork sausage or hamburger (crumble and pre-cook).

Ah, no wonder.

I've flipped through several cookbooks since I made it, and decided that I should have chopped the onions up fairly fine, as well.

There are also a couple of relatively quick make your own crust recipes [no rolling, just pat it down into the pan] that I'll try sometime.
