Changes

I've been puttering around, trying to figure out how to change the style sheet. Or, more precisely, how to change it without screwing everything up.

It helps to use MT2 style sheets rather than 3. Hmm. I'm an idiot. My webpage says Movable Type 2.64. Oh well.

Style name: Trendy.

Readable, links stand out from page. Not sure if I like a dark background though. We'll see.

Any thoughts?

I'm usually not partial to light text on dark background, but that's purely a matter of taste as the layout is still readable.

One urgent fix: you need to control the width of your photos, which are pushing your sidebar to the bottom of the page.

On my blog I keep the photos I post to 400 pixels or less in width. When you use the MT interface to upload an image, you have the option of creating a thumbnail. Choose that and then set the width of the thumbnail to 350 or 400. If you tab to the height, it should auto-magically change the height proportional to the width.

So you may want to go back to the posts with the ultra-wide photos and re-upload them as thumbnails set to 350 or 400 pixels wide.

Ok. I don't have the problem with Netscape, but I noticed it with IE.

Ok, seems to be better in both Netscape and IE now.

The other thought was, owls are usually nocturnal, so a dark background with light writing might make sense.

I dunno, I got tired of the navy blue background on my old blog eventually, I'll have to see.

For a dark-background blog, the scheme you've selected is easier on my eyes than some I've seen. Again, just a matter of taste. It's a nice change, actually, from the Blogspot look that you had.
